ABOUT US!

When I say "US", I actually mean "ME" & my dog, BISKIT. A few years ago, I worked 12 hour shifts in an automotive factory. I had what some may call a "Mid-Life Crisis" & decided that I had to do something else with my life. BISKIT agreed! I thought about what would make me happy & I could enjoy doing for the rest of my life. I found my answer in my boyfriend's wardrobe. He is a musician & always wears the craziest Hawaiian Shirts. I started out selling a few of his shirts on Ebay. People actually bought them! Then I bought more shirts & started selling them from booths at flea markets & festivals. After our house started to look Hawaii exploded in our living room, I thought it was time for a change. Yup! I quit my good paying job, packed up everything we owned & moved to FLORIDA. We rented a 250sf shop on Navarre Beach 100 yards away from the ocean. We were living the dream! On April 1st, 2010, we moved our entire shop to a bigger 500sf location in Fort Walton Beach FL. Loved the new place even more because there were eclectic little shops like ours all around us. Then, 3 weeks later the oil started leaking into the Gulf. On 15 June 2010, we saw oil on our beautiful beach for the first time with our own eyes. Very few customers stop by our shop now a days because folks are vacationing elsewhere. We're trying to stick it out as long as we can pay the bills. But, we're pretty sure we're going to have to go back to only operating on-line again before too long.
